Home ... Who Am I
Hi! I'm DM Barnhart. I'm the author of this 'questioning' site! I've tried to move the perspective back into the times of the early Christians. I truly believe, that if you simply took the Bible at face value (absent all the Christian claims), you'd find it (1) considerably more believable and (2) considerably more exciting (the message).
For whatever reasons, believers in the early days, and believers now, seem bent on 'adding, adding, adding'. Ever more complexities and over-complications. Each addition means you're closer to God?

I always try to remember the 'woman at the well' and the roman slaves that were attracted to Jesus' offer. To me, the simplicity is absolutely essential. When you add all the pharasaic religiousity that Christianity has added, it is no longer understandable. It appears quite contrived. Unbelievable.
If you have a comment, need explanations, or violently disagree(!), please feel free to email me at the address below.

Concerning expertise, I don't have any! At least probably not the kind you're looking for. When I talk with Christians and they want to 'argue', there is sort of a competition of knowledge and details. I'm not there. I am probably an expert in analysis and the use of neural networks for pattern detection. I was a vice president in a multi-billion dollar company with a sizable number analysts and programmers on my staff.

If that impresses you, OK. Dime-a-dozen for me! But the expertise that I really long for is someone that could explain 'what they were talking about' ... the early believers. I just feel that there is so much that is missing. Destroyed? Don't know.
Let's talk about you! Where are you at, in terms of belief? If you're 'down the road' from me, that's just great!

But if you're doubtful or even hostile to the faith, I really think you should separate us 'Christians' from God and what he is offering. I think 'Christians' really cloud the message. We're not good advertisers for God's offer to you!

What is his offer? Divinity. You'd never guess that from us Christians! We're 'dinking around', worried about which 'rule' you're following. But what Jesus talked about to the first-century jews was shocking to them, and should be surprising to you. Not very complicated, true. But something that I think you want.

Welcome to my site. I hope that it helps you.
Been to a 3D movie and still have your 'glasses'?

We're making 3D views of Northern Arizona for fun!
