BIBLE LAYERING AND BELIEVABILITY
Well, I gotta tell you. All this programming and analysis and even the web site were not easy at all. It took about a year total (ok, on and off!). When I started, I was about '5 inches' from concluding the Bible was contrived, and 'time to move on'.

Having done all the work, read much of Bible criticism, and made my own special analyses (every verse has a 'date estimate' ... handy), quite frankly I'm considerably more confident of the Bible. On the one hand, the Bible is much more fragmented than the Christian leadership would like to admit. I think over time, this is going to become an increasingly bigger problem for them. Computer sophistication is unending.

But for me, the slow evolution of the story, the missing pieces, and their editing ... I can pretty much 'see' it all. I don't have to imagine so much. And in a way, I feel much closer to it. The people quite obviously believed in what they were doing. In most of the cases, their beliefs were 'on-the-edge'. And yet they kept going.



Yes, they believed.

Soooo ... What do you think?

If you're a research guru, I very much recommend you try some of the techniques I've described. You may get differing results, and I am not offended at all. I think the more you research the Bible, the better.

If you have your doubts about the Bible, I cannot erase them, though I would like to! Personally I don't think they will ever go away, because it's part of your nature to question. Other people are happy to run with whatever they think. You need a 'comfort level' like me. I do encourage you to continue studying. God is so patient.
